Snyder Officially Files to Run for State Rep. in 87th District

Muskegon, Mich. — Will Snyder officially filed paperwork with Muskegon County Clerk Nancy A. Waters this morning to run for State Representative in the new 87th House District.

“I have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support for my candidacy and am extremely grateful for the heartfelt reception our campaign has received so far,” said Snyder. “It is a tremendous asset and honor to have so many highly regarded members of the community supporting our campaign. I look forward to earning the support of the voters in the August 2nd Democratic Primary.”

Will has spent the last six years working as a Legislative Aide and District Director for State Representative Terry J. Sabo, and he currently serves on the Board of Directors of Read Muskegon. Will was previously the Building Association President for the Knights of Columbus Dan M. Kennedy Council #706. Long active in local Democratic politics, Will served for two terms as the Vice-Chair of the Muskegon County Democratic Party and is elected to the Michigan Democratic Party State Central Committee.

Will’s experience working in the legislature and in our community make him the person who can best represent us by strengthening the connections between the people in the community and the policymakers in Lansing.
